The St. Louis Julius Winkelmeyer Brewing Association, 1879 - 1889, 16oz Pint Glass

The Fred Stifel & Julius Winkelmeyer St. Louis Union Brewery was founded in 1843 on 2nd Street. After a number of name changes and reorganizations, it was rebranded as the Julius Winkelmeyer Brewing Association, and operated in that capacity from 1879 until 1889 producing its only product, the Lager Beer. Located at 1714 Market Street, it continued operations as the St. Louis Brewing Association until its permanent closure in 1916. The downtown St. Louis United States Post Office building now stands where this brewery once thrived. This beautiful piece of St. Louis brewing history has been meticulously digitally restored and reproduced on this pint glass. Cheers!
