Grace Brothers Brewing Premium Golden Brew Lager, Santa Rosa, CA

Grace Bros began as an expansion of their grocery business in 1897, survived prohibition, and grew to be a major regional beer producer until it succumbed to competition and had to close its doors in 1953. They would reopen in 1958, but was soon sold to Maier Brewing. The brewery was torn down shortly thereafter.

Variations of Golden Lager was brewed beginning in 1935 with this particular label likely dated to 1958. It is reproduced on this clear pint glass with a digitally restored label from my personal collection.
