Horlacher Brewery, one of the earliest breweries in Allentown, was owned by Fred Horlacher and his son Frederick. It was located at N 3rd and Gordon Streets. Although prohibition hit hard, they survived by producing non-alcholic drinks until its end in 1933 when they could resume full production. Horlacher thrived until 1978 when it finally succumbed to the pressures of national breweries. It was the last of Allentown's breweries to close, ending a long chapter of rich brewing history.
This handsome pint glass features the Horlacher label on one side and original period text on the back.
